Default Run without TPMS sensors ?

I searched but was unable to find any info regarding running without TPMS sensors. I have a set of steel rims that I used with my 05 for snow tires and I would like to utilize them with my 2012. My question is, do I need to install TPMS sensors in them to use them?

Yeah I don't have them in my rims either. I just stuck a 1/2" x 1/2" piece of electrical tape over the low tire reminder light. You won;t even notice it. Just remember to take it off in the Spring....

Superchips has the option to disable the TPMS system, as do all the tuners out there I believe. I've been running without it for about 6 months. Not to mention the mileage/power increase..

I might be getting a tuner when they are available for th '12s. I wanted to be able to run my 265/70/17 snow tires but they don't match the height on the 20s that came on my new truck so I'm getting some 285/70/17's that are real close in height but $30.00 to $50.00 more per tire so my speedo is ok.
