Default Front passenger amber light issue

So the front passenger side amber light on my 09 Sport does not illuminate while the truck is running, but when I press lock/unlock on the key fob the bulb flashes - thus no issue with the bulb. The driver's side bulb is always on when the truck is running - but the passenger bulb only lights up when I press a button on the fob or when the turn signal is engaged. Any thoughts on where to start diagnosing this? I'm not too concerned if I can't fix it, but it would be nice if I could get it sorted out.

Is it a 2 element bulb? One for solid running lights and one for flashing lights?

You are quick and dead on. Swapped out the bulb and all is good again. Thanks!

Yep! I keep a few extra bulbs in my glove box now. Seems my bulbs keep going out all over this truck. Weird. I had close to 150000 miles on my '06 and never blew a bulb. I have had mine since '09, 52,000 miles on it, and 5 have blown. I wonder why?

I've got 74K + on mine and so far have only lost one tail light. Lights are on auto all the time.
