Default Need info on installing 1.5 inch Daystar on 2wd

Hey All:

I have the 1.5 inch leveling kit for my 2wd CC and was looking at installing it soon. Will I need spring compressors? I have a set but they will not fit in there at all. The link below is what I have.

Amazon Amazon

I have not found any vids showing the install on a 2wd.

I have put these in a lot, the 1.5"s are nice because you REALLY dont need the compressors for them, it makes it a little harder trying to get all that compressor in there and then RELEASED. when the steering knuckle is off, and hanging down,if you push down or stand on the edge of the knuckle with tie rod removed, the STOCK coil will just roll out on the ground, the spacer installed and on the top of the coil, put the top in first, step on the knuckle, push in at the bottom, you MIGHT have to very slightly push on just the coil it will pop right in there, the amount you can push down on the knuckle will help,(the coil fits in a little space in there take a look before it comes, just a place to hold it, MAKE SURE THE TRUCK IS SUPPORTED PERFECT, AND THAT THERE IS A (LOT OF SPACE )UNDER THE KNUCKLE TO MAKE ROOM WHEN YOU PUSH IT DOWN,....the tire rod removed will make it a lot easier, but I have done them with out removing it also, let us know, be safe.
I use large jack stands, sometimes the smaller jack stands make the knuckle hit the ground when you are pushing it down,,,,,if you ned anything e-mail me or PM
you will need an alignment, afterwards, they wont be BAD just will need it for tire life later

Thanks BULLRAM! The other day I noticed my drivers side coil is not in the divot. I had been getting that clunking noise and could not figure it out. I busted the hell out of my knuckles the other day trying to get the spring back in place. Never could get it so I was contemplating getting it fixed and paying someone to put the leveling kit in. I hate paying for simple things like this. I must be getting old. i give it another try next week.

You could raise the front tire by the frame, loosen the shock top , and let it hang all the way down with the tire on it off the ground, might give you the slack you need....you can handle that level job, but just take your time, there are a lot of us here , that can help along the way, to save some coin
