Default Bumpers

As you all may already know, the crap gray bumpers on the 2010 Ram ST sucks. My dealer says he will paint the front alone for almost 600.00. i figure at least a grand for front and rear. I've been through the recall replacement dance and I'm not getting any rythm. You folks got any suggestions? Dodge knows they crapped out on that bumper. Seems to me that they would just man up and at least pay for the paint job. Should I be talking to my attorney now?

When mine **** the bed and started to rust, (within 6 months of being brand new) i called chrysler, no problem getting them replaced.
BUT, less than a year later, the NEW replacement bumpers rusted again. This time i repainted them myself, havent rusted since. I sand blasted them, then used epoxy sealer/primer and epoxy paint. Might have spent a hundred bucks total for everything from start to finish. That was BOTH front and rear bumpers included on the hundred dollar total. Chrysler was willing to replace them the 3rd time with the same crappy painted bumpers, i said forget it, i`ll fix it once and for all. Have since sold the truck to a friend of mine, bumpers are STILL rust free to this day, and still look like they had been painted that very day when i saw it again.

I have a 2009 ST and I ended up stripping and grinding all the rust spots off myself
then went and had a thin coat of Line-X sprayed on. Rust free and the black looks great.
