My 09 CC has a terrible blind spot at the right side windshield pillar, although I am aware of this problem I have still been startled when making a left turn to have a vehicle come into view as I am about to pull into there lane, how many of you have had close calls as I have fortunately no accidents but lots of angry drivers wondering what the Hell is this idiot doing. I make an effort to look around the pillar but at times I can honestly say I have not seen the oncoming vehicle.

 

There is a significant blind spot around the left pillar as well. I make a conscious effort to move my head when turning left onto my street from the highway as I was surprised by traffic waiting at the stop sign there.

 

I agree that right side area can cause problems, but I have had more issues in not seeing motorcycles than cars. They get totally swallowed in that area.

I have also noticed this same problem with the other brands also.

 

Yup, totally agree...!!!!!!! Same happens to me too...!
You`re 100% right, all the other brands out there have the same issue with blind spots as well.
As they make vehicles safer to drive, they also can make you cause an accident due to the blind spots they create while making them safer.
