Default Electric brakes wiring question

What gauge of wire do I use from the dash mounted brake controller to the trailer connector at the back? I am using a Bargman 7 way trailer connector and a Drawtite controller. T H A N K S

Is your truck not prewired? Seems like using the factory harness would be the best bet. Should be factory prewired at least back to the bed if your truck didn't come with the 7 pin from the factory.

You caught me. Although I do have an 09 Dodge this is for another vehicle that doesn't have the wiring.

The answer is - look at the directions for the drawtite, it should tell you what you want to know. 12 Gauge or larger
