Default choppy tire tread

so i got my tires rotated today and noticed that the tires that were on the front had started to get choppy uneven tread wear on the outside edge the truck only has 8400 miles and from what ive heard it could be that the alignment is off or there is already an issue with something in the front suspension...any ideas?

From my experience, that is the joy of 4 wheel drive. Just need to keep rotating them...how bad are they?

its not too bad but is very noticeable if you run your hand along the outside edge might let it develop and if it gets real bad im defiantly going to get it looked at

Only 8400 miles on a new truck, definitely something needs attention. I didn't have problems that quick on my 01 with 130k on it. I typically rotate every 10,000 miles unless something like this shows up. JMO.

I had the same thing happen on my '09 If you have the Crappy *** Wranglers that is the problem. Not your alignment. I took those piece of S@#t off and put on a pair of Michelin MTX LSII's and they have been fine ever since. I also put on a set of Silent Armours for the winter and those are wearing just fine as well. The stock Wranglers S U C K. And Dodge should be ashamed for putting them on their trucks. Goodyear should be ashamed as well.....To sell someone a truck, only to have to change tires at only 8,000 miles is terrible.

the main thing im worried about here is that a coworker of mine has an 09 trx4 with the same tires and 50k miles on em and they have worn just fine, guess ill have to hopefully find out whether its the tires or the truck on monday when it goes to the dealer...if worse comes to worse i guess ill be getting a set of nitto terra grapplers sooner than i thoughtr

not sure why your experience has been so bad, I now have 82,000kms on my 2010 and still have the stock goodyears with 15-20% tread remaining.

Ive given my tires no special attention, only been rotated once, lots of high speed driving and lots of 4 wheel drive highway and city driving. I live in alberta so I see lots of various road conditions, dry, wet, icy, rough, and gravel.

I expect to get at least 100,000kms out of this set (62,000miles) ill probably be looking to repace them before next winter.

I have no issue with the factory tires on my truck, cant understand all the negative reviews about them.

My 09 , had the same thing with the 20" good years. I buy the warranty on new trucks from discount tire. I rotate mine every 4,000 miles. this helped the coppy on the tires
