I purchased my first new Vehicle ever last April I wanted a Heavy Duty truck but i really wouldn't use it one like it was meant to be used, my boat weight about 1000bls , but i am over kill and think of future all the time in upgrading my boat! i was told when i purchased this truck it would pull 11k but i looked up my vin today and it was 3.55 ratio i am wondering if this is not true and it is the 3.92ratio but maybe somewhere else i can tell if it is?

I mean really i do not need anything more then what i got it was just the idea that i could pull whatever i wanted, but for me 9k is still a huge a s s boat!

I can't really tell if you are asking a question or boasting about how big your boat is.

 

If the VIN says it is 3.55, then that is what it is. Should be fine for towing a 1000lb boat - you could tow that with a civic.

My 09 has the 321 gears , hemi cc, rambox , i tow a 6400 lb travel trailer , it tows it very well

 

So what do you tow ? If I ever get the boat I want I think it weighs about like what ur pulling..
