Default K&n oil filters

I am a new Dodge Ram 1500 5.7l hemi owner. I AM WONDERING IF ANYONE HAS USED THE K&N OIL FILTER WITH A SYNTHETIC OIL IN THIER TRUCK? I am looking for anything to keep this truck running new that I can. Also after the suggested 300 mile breakin should I switch to synthetic or just wait till the regular scheduled oil change? Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm running Mobile1 througha K&N filter. I did my first oil change and switched over to synthetic at 500 miles. Ill go every 6 months from there. I don't put many miles on her.

rams have no problem running synthetic. K&N filter is fine. just make sure you run 5w-20, per manufacture. otherwise risk missing up MDS.
The break in....I would just change it at 3,000. then go full synthetic.

Yeah I'd wait till at least 3-4 thousand before switching to synthetic. Been running the K&N with synthetic oil for 60k miles now with no issues.

I like 'em and basically any other filter that Champion Labs makes. These include Mopar, K&N, Royal Purple, Champ, STP and Mobil...
