Default A shopping cart raged and dented my door! Help?

Any tips or tricks on how to remove a dent that's about 2 inches long and an inch in width on my driver side door? I'm still learning the ropes here, so forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong forum.

Find a local place that does paintless dent removal. They can work wonders. If the dent does not have a sharp crease or paint breakage they can probably make it look like it was never there.

Don't try to do anything yourself. PDR is an art and you need special tools.

That's sound advice. Haha I had a mallet and a piece of wood ready. Thanks for the reply.

Nono don't do it yourself.

It will cost around $100, but worth every $ to let a pro do it.

A lot of people are telling me that I should pay to have it done. I've seen some YouTube videos on how todo it, but I fear I may ruin my paint job. Thanks for the advice! I'm looking for bodyshops around my way.

Don't do it yourself. It's not worth the risk. You will never get it to look right.

On the other hand, do not go to a dealer or a body shop to have them do it. Find a dedicated PDR company and then shop around. If you have a body shop or dealer do it they'll charge you $150-200 for the one dent. You can find a PDR guy directly that will do it for $50.

Shopping cart dented my wife's DTS not long after we got it last year. Got a good paintless dent guy to try, but he said he was not sure he would be successful because it was near a crease in the fender. It would not come out. Ended up having the dealer body shop pull and repaint it anyway. But, it is still worth a try to have one of these paintless dent guys try first. One other thing, the store where the damage took place caught it on video and they paid to have it fixed. Surprised to say the least.
