Good Dodge Cust Service
Had the oil changed right before my vacation and the dealer mentioned that one of the outer tie rod ends was going bad. I asked him if they were under warranty since they were replaced under the recall about 30K miles ago. The service guy said that I'd have to contact Dodge since recall parts are not warrantied. By the time I got back from vacation this morning I had messages from both Dodge and the local dealer who said that they would replace them under warranty.
Pretty normal stuff for any dealer I've been to around here. There are so many dealers of each brand of vehicle that you cannot afford a bad reputation when the next guy is only 15-20 miles down the road.
Well, when they ALL have bad reputations in my particular area, you dont have a choice. I NEVER leave my truck at a dealership around here if i can help it... if i see they`re doing something abnormal, i stop them and question how what or why they`re doing what they are doing. Thats the only thing people like me, can do around here to make sure the job is getting done right. (baysitting a dealership & its so-called tech`s really sucks) Bad thing about it is, most people have never worked on a vehicle in their life, so they dont know whats right and whats not when they pick up their vehicle. I find, that THOSE are USUALLY the types of people that are the ones most likely to rate a dealer high, mainly because they dont know any better. Anyhow, glad to hear YOU got a dealer that takes care of you.... most of us wish WE did.
