Default 1500 ram. diesel

here's my question, is a 6sp man going to be a option in the ram with the optional diesel engine, I realize it's not made by Cummins and I have no desire to move into a ctd as I only want a 6sp man, unless dodge offers me one, there no advantage for me to be saddled down by a automatic..

I don't need 8 speeds to make up for what I accomplish with a manual gear box.

I tried and true with manual transmissions and it's 100 percent my preference over a manufacturers automatic transmission.

I agree, if my knees would take it I would much rather have a good manual trans in ANY truck and most performance car applications. The problem is many drivers here in the US either can't or don't want to drive a man trans and unfortunately many of those who think they can drive a manual don't do it well which brings on clutch issues. This being said the demand probably doesn't outweigh the negative issues connected to the manual transmission so ny opinion is not likely. JMO

I pulled teeth in 06 to factory order my hemi 2500 with 6 gears, dodge wants me to invest in a ctd to get the same transmission equipped with a possible bugs nest of issues (can happen with any brand)

my needs have drastically changed, I no longer need reg cab long box work truck, yet I run away from automatics, so a small diesel in a 1500 crew cab with a man transmission, is very desirable.

no other manufacturers offer any viable options, so I rule out dodge, or resign to keep the Dodge I have for a longer and longer term.

the bigger issue here is manufacturers are rapping consumers with over valued and issue prone automatics.

if you want a automatic transmission that's your choice, but don't buy one if your brand refuses to offer a manual..

a lot of us free thinkers still prefer to think for our self when driving and I pay more to get what I want.

first new light truck manufacturer to offer me a gas v8 or a small diesel engine with 3 pedals and 5 or more gears, gets my business strictly be default.
