I have a 2013 ram 1500 xpress with the Uconnect 5.0. I want to upgrade it to the 8.4 RA3 if I buy the link below what else will I need to make it work and is this even possible?

It is my understanding that you cannot upgrade from one radio to another in the 2013 Ram trucks. There was a thread about it several months ago. My try a search...

The main sticking point for you, if you bought that head unit, will be how to flash the truck to accept and integrate with that head unit. Per the post I mentioned above, you won't be able to do it....

However, Metra makes a dash kit and Axxess makes an adapter harness (I forget who makes the antenna adapter) for the 2013's that will allow you add an aftermarket head unit.

I am waiting for a warranty issue to be resolved, and then I'll be installing a Kenwood DNX-690HD in my Uconnect 3.0 truck to gain NAV & bluetooth.
