Default 6.4 cam swap

I'm looking for info on swapping a 6.4 cam into my 2011 5.7 powered 1500 with a 3.55 gear . if it can be done, can it be done with factory lifters, pushrods, rockers, springs, and tune an not cause an issue with overall reliability an performance? And how much of a performance increase can I expect? Any info is appreciated, thanks

I wont say that it can or can not be done, but my question to you is... why.
Not seeing the point to replacing one OEM cam for another... i dont see the gain from it.

You would probably get a lot more performance switching your 3.55 gears for 3.92 or 4.11's. I think this would be much easier and less time consuming. Unless you know how to set up cam phasers or someone who does you can run into problems

Years ago when I was into this stuff we would always replace the lifters and springs with a new cam along with any races or bearings, so being old school I would replace all these items. Setting up the old cams for proper timing was easier than the new ones today.
