I have a stock 2010 ram sport and the first thing i want to do is upgrade my exhaust. ive always been a flowmaster kinda guy but ive heard mix reviews on what type of exhaust sound best on the gen 4 rams. any suggestions? also are there any other tips for getting the most out of my exhaust i.e programmers or cutting out the converters? this is the first step on a long list of upgrades please help...

I just had a Flowmaster 40 installed on mine and I absolutely love it! I can't say much for the other objectives, but I'm sure someone will chime in soon!

Being the cheapo that I am... I pulled the original muffler the first week from new and gutted it and ran a straight pipe inside which made it stock appearing but straight piped at the same time. I welded the outer cover back on after the surgery. It sounds great except when the ECO kicks in. Sounds like the jake brake kicked in. I have been runnin with tow haul on or manual shift to 6th gear. Free mod and does really sound good! Mark

had dual exhaust when I was in college. don't know why anyone would do it to a new truck. They sound good the way they are and not annoying, but to each their own

Because some of us enjoy a truck that doesn't sound like Grandmas grocery getter.

From past expierances, leave the Ex 100% stock.

Now if you want to pay and play, run cherry bombs x 2 2.5 in 24 to 26 in case length and cut out the y pipe..mount the cherry bombs under the box and run ex pipes over rear diff and straight out the back..

If your into the flowmaster sound, cherry bombs will give you better sound and a stright flow..(stright pipes is basicly what they are)

Or run into the stock ex bumper cut outs if on your model of truck..

My 06 purs like a happy viper!!

Glasspacks are too loud. I had one before and they do sound nice but I'd never put one on a brand new truck. In my opinion, I want my new truck to look classy, and sound mean but not obnoxious.
