Default Help! Base of my antenna broke!

Hey guys,

Don't know how it happened, but the base of my antenna broke so I can't screw an OEM antenna mast back in because of the piece of material left by the broken mast. Will I have to get new wiring? Or can I just get a new rubber adapter(the one that is in between the plastic and the mast)? I tried to explain it, but if you have any other questions let me know. I really can't go on without the radio. haha

Hey jvalle - I believe something similar happened to me on my last truck (Tundra) when I went through a carwash - my antenna broke off inside of the base so part of it was stuck down in the actual threading - I couldn't just get another antenna and screw it back in. Is this what happened to yours?

Yeah, a picture of the actual break itself would help us out tremendously.

Drill it almost out and get a screw extraction kit.

You should be able to drill it out and get a very small extractor bit. Be careful not to bugger up the threads though If you are successful in getting it out go to Craven Speed and get a Stubby antennae. Made for both Roof and fender mounting. No more issues and looks way better.
