Default uconnect 5.0 screen frozen

Okay, I've been searching around for some info but couldn't find anything that seemed to directly relate to this. 2013 ram (less than 10,000), uconnect5.0 touchscreen and it's frozen on the very first screen (showing logo). No controls will work other than the on/off and volume. I can't find a way to "reset" and apparently disconnecting the battery doesn't do anything. Been two days now and I don't have time to sit around at a dealership all day to get it fixed. Anybody else have this issue? Or know of a way to reset the system? It's pretty annoying since all I can do is listen to one station and change the volume.

Sometimes i can throw a cd in the unit and take it back out, sometimes resets mine...
not saying that will work for you, but it does for mine.

Other than that, Uconnect sucks,
it should have been named DOSENTCONNECT.

That happened to me once in my 2013 2500 w/uConnect 5.0 radio. It was a short trip and when I shut off the truck and restarted it, all was well....

If the battery disconnect didn't work, sounds like a trip to the dealer...

No cd player, but tried connecting my ipod instead just to see if that would do it. Sounds like we have the same system hattitude. But ya, unfortunately looks like it's going to be a trip to the dealer. I hate this, because I've spent my entire life working on vehicles, most of my career in a dyno lab. Things like this really get to me because there is absolutely nothing I can do about it. And from what I've been reading, most of these problems even the dealerships are hosed. You'd think, since all of the newest vehicles are based on an actual computer system, vs. ecu programming, that they'd have a reset somewhere. Even the cheapest computers have a reset button lol

For what it's worth, I'm sure they'll get it right....

The dealer had to buy back my 2013 2500 (dealer issue, not a truck issue), and in the deal, I got a 2014 2500, also with a 5.0 UConnect radio.

This radio has been flawless!
