Default Check Engine Light Code P0933

My truck got the code P0933, i found 2 different descriptions of the code.

1. hydrolic pressure sensor range/performance
2. gear shift lock solenoid ctrl circ/open

I got the enging light on saturday, and since the light has come on when i first start my truck and put it in drive it jumps forward. only happens when i first put it in drive, if i wait 30seconds it doest jum.

Any ideas on what a fix would be/how much it would cost to repair

I have a 2012 ram1500 tradesmen 4wd

Being a 2012, is it not still under warranty? If so, take it to a dealer.

I was going to ask the same question as Mike2810. Is the vehicle not under warranty? The dealer can perform further diagnosis with the proper scan tools to determine the root cause of the fault code which is for the hydraulic pressure sensor range/performance.

I believe you have a 5 year 100k powertrain warranty, this is a powertrain problem

P0933-HYDRAULIC PRESSURE SENSOR RANGE/PERFORMANCE

Yep, probably powertrain warranty. Or 8/80K if it's the PCM

Possible Causes

LINE PRESSURE CONNECTOR AND WIRING
INTERNAL TRANSMISSION
POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM)
