Picked up the newest addition to the family a 2014 3500 Lariat long box.

It has the back up camera incorporated into the tailgate, we haul a 5th wheel and have a Air Gate tailgate from our 2004 3500.

First can I remove the 2014 tailgate? I had a quick look and the wiring for the gate looks like it does not have a quick disconnect. Unless I am missing something here!

Also I have not measured it as we were on a short weekend vacation so will the gate from the 2004 fit on the 2014?

Obviously I understand the b-up camera will be in-operable.

There should be a quick disconnect. For my power tailgate lock you have to poke your head under the bumper to get at it.

Got the quick disconnect, and I measured the tailgates and they are the same dimensions. so now all I need to do is get my air gate sandblasted and repainted to spruce it up.
