Default High Beams.....HOW MUCH?????

So my Ram 1500 is in for a fourth diff replacement under warranty and whilst there I've asked them to replace the driveline fluids (trani, transfer case and front diff) fix the drivers side puddle light ($125) and fix the non working high beams.

Hoping for the best but expecting the worst.....it's the headlight controller that is pooched. It is on back order (gee.....I wonder why) and it has been quoted at $925.

$925!!!!!!!

Holy SH*T.

Do I need high beams?

She going to try and work on that price as a goodwill gesture for the fourth diff issue.

Hopefully she will sharpen her pencil.

No. You do not need high beams @ $800 dollars. Lol

Buy an inline fuse, some wire, terminals and a toggle switch. Maybe $30 and an hour of time to hardwire it yourself as option #2.

Option #3 would be to add some LED's on a toggle switch.

I like option #3. just saying

At that ridicules price I would be looking into a wreaking yard or online for an aftermarket unit.

For $900 upgrade to projectors with hid's and you won't need high beams, or add a rigid light bar.
The high beams are terrible on these trucks.

I took a pass on the controller.

WAY too much $$ for what it is.....and what it does.

However....finding a good used one might be a problem as they seem to have a high failure rate.

I'll try and score the part number and look elsewhere......

Anyone here know the part number?
