Hi All:
I have a 2015 Ignition orange sport. I just noticed the rear bumper edges (near the wheel wells) seem to be coming apart. The bumper is painted orange and the edge is higher or cracked or coming apart the same way on both sides. Any one have ever have a problem like this?
The dealer is close tomorrow so I will visit them Monday.

My new truck has those same marks/seams. I do not think they are cracks.

 

Hi All:
Upon close inspection it seems there is a piece of thick, clear plastic on both sides of the bumper that protect the edge from stone damage on painted bumpers.

Same on my 2011. BUT....beware, my painted bumper started rusting around the rear park sensors. I crawled under and the whole backside of the bumper is rusting quite badly. Just a ****ty paint job done on the bumper.

 

Mine started rusting in places like where the black plastic trim edges rub on the paint, under the trim, and around the license plate area. I took it off, totally disassembled it, and then had a body shop sandblast and repaint it. Cost me under $200. Sucks that it couldn't just last longer but it wasn't too bad.
