37 inch tires and axles

i have a 2010 dodge ram 2500 6.7 cummins on a 6 inch lift currently rolling on 35 inch tires
im getting 37 inch tires and ive heard that 37 inch tires or any tire bigger than 35 is bad for your axles..... is this true????

Modern trucks are extensively engineered. Anything you do to modify it jeopardizes the system.
That said, a 6" lift is probably "worse" for the suspension than 37" tires are for the axles.
You are putting more strain on the axles because of the mechanical dis-advantage of taller tires (they are less likely to "want" to turn). But unless you are constantly beating on it I'd be surprised if you ever broke one. If you're concerned, you could put new higher (number) final drive gears in, which you may want to anyways to get some power back.
