Sorry for the stupid question, but I am trying to find a part for my 2009 Ram 1500.
I don't have a Dodge dealer in my town, but I stopped by the nearest one (but, of course, I wasn't driving my truck) to try to get this part, and the parts guy had no idea what I was talking about. If I can't find it on my own, I will have to find the time to drive my truck to the dealer, which is over an hour away.
Part of the problem is that I have no idea what it's called.
I am looking to replace the soft plastic, form-fitting shroud cover that sits in the front of the engine compartment, just on top of the radiator. If anyone knows how to install a Vararam, it's the part that you have to either remove or cut a chunk out of to allow the air-flow.
Here is a pic, with arrows pointing at it:
If anyone has an online link to buy this, or the name of this thing, or even has a part number for Dodge/Mopar, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks so much. I actually figured that it as well overnight, and that's what I found out too. Thanks again.
A bunch of the online parts stores say that part is discontinued, though, and have the part# 55057072AC, which seems to be the exact same part, but for the newer model years, and for some reason it costs around $120, while the AB model used to cost about $30. That makes no sense.
I did manage to find the cheaper version online. I will have to wait and see though until Monday, if they really have it in-stock, or their website is not up to date.
