Default courtesy and mirror signal lights.

I have recently noticed that all of the mirror lights on my 2010 ram 1500 have stopped working. I have the flip up tow mirrors that have the signal lights and courtesy lights in them. Any ideas as to why they would quit working?

I went through the fuses and couldn't find any blown ones. I did notice this morning that the signal lights are flashing very dim.

I believe one of the computers runs those lights. You might want to try and disconnect the battery for a few minuets to do a reset.

On mine the left signal light is dim and the puddle lights don't work.

From what I can see -- we have to replace the whole mirror -- because the lights aren't replaceable. I'm not 100% sure though...

Anyway, I can live without those lights. Sure as heck am not replacing the mirror unless it falls off.

The puddle lights are replaceable. You can buy the module and it snaps out/in. They do get corroded from water & road salt and go bad. But if all lights (signals and puddle lights) are out in both mirrors it probably isn't the lights themselves that is the problem.

I went through it last night. The puddle lights are caked with salt and completely corroded inside and the signal lights look like they are dead. Dodge wants $260 per mirror to replace the lights might just live without.

You can buy and replace both light modules. Would be way less than $260/side. Do some searches and you'll find info on the parts and process.
