Ram 2500 rear springs
hi, new to the forum. I am thinking about getting a 2500 or 3500 ram w/cummins diesel 4x4 in the near future and i had a couple questions.
1. I have spoken with a few people and have been told the only difference between the 2500 and 3500 are the rear springs, the 3500 being heavier. Is this true? Are the frames the same on both? For now i dont plan to do much towing, so if this is the only difference i can upgrade the rear suspension later.
2. I have seen 2500 comes with leaf springs in the rear and also coil springs. Ideally i want the coil springs. Any particular year or option that came with coil springs?
3. Can this truck come with lockers? I know the power wagon comes with lockers front and back but i must have the diesel. I guess if it does't come from the factory with lockers i will just get a couple ARBs.
Anyway thanks in advance for your input.

I believe the 2014+ started the coil suspension. There is a decent video of a walk around, I watched this before buying my 15 2500. Not sure about the lockers, but aftermarket might be an option (not sure though)...
The video is not too in depth, but it's something..
Hope this helps a little
