I have a 2012 Ram ST 2500 Crew with the turn signal in the mirror on the passenger side and its currently out. How do you get the bulb out or open it up to repair? There is a puddle light that works in the mirror. I tried looking on here and havent found anything yet.

 

Had the same issue a couple years ago on my '09. Had to buy the pod that goes underneath the mirror.

 

How'd you get the mirror apart? You remove the glass?

 

Yup, I you have to adjust the mirror all the way down and then pry it off in a downward motion from the top. The mirror glass is on there pretty good with clips. I have a buddy that does body work and I just ended up replacing the entire mirror for less than what Ram wants for the pod....his cost of course..sometimes it pays to know the right people.

 

Someone had tried to fix the puddle light on my '09, whole pod fell out one day while driving. There was silicone holding it in.

I bought a whole new mirror from Rock Auto (power/heated/puddle/turn lights)

Got the mid range one*, and cannot tell it from the factory one.

*They offer 3 or 4 different brands, at different prices.
