Default replacing light in outside passenger mirror

I have a non working turn signal light in my outside mirror, and I plan on replacing it. I got the old one out, not sure I did it in the right order, I broke a tab on the old one. So my problem is, how do these lights go in the mirror, without damaging the new one.

Have you purchased a new signal lamp yet. The last time I inquired, they don't sell the replacement lens and bulbs, you have to purchase the entire mirror assembly.

I just picked up the lamp assembly, not the entire mirror. It was 127 bucks, for that price they should have given me the whole mirror. I can send you the part number is you want.....................

I replaced the just the lens on mine. It was full of water and the leds had shorted out. For the removal I tilted the mirror all the way up. You can then put a small flathead in there and push in the tab and pop it out. While removing the first one the lens fell apart as I pryed it out. Installation was the same. I think I just wiggled it in until the clip popped into place. Just be gentle.
