Tailgate latch closed

Hello, so tonight when I opened up the tailgate and went to close it seems the locking mechanism is closed and not open. Any way for me to manually open get the latch's to move to the open position?

maybe try holding the handle in the open/released position and try to move the latch open with a screw driver.

Take the access panel off the inside of the tail gate and you're ready to go.
