Default FOB issue

I have a 2013 Ram and my remote engine start does not have to be pressed. I just rub my thumb over it once or even if I place it in my purse and it rubs on something, my engine starts. I am afraid that if it does that while I am on assignment, someone can take my truck. Any advice on this is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Probably the button is stuck. Take it apart and clean the contacts and the rubber button parts.

Hi moreli8689,

Sorry to hear about this! If you decide to visit your local dealership for further diagnosis I'd be happy to follow up with them for you if needed. Just PM our page with your VIN and let me know.
