Default no heat passenger side 2009 ram 1500

I have been getting some heat on the drivers side but absolutely cold air on the passenger side. and when it is in defrost just there's just a little warm air, Also there is some clicking under the passenger side dash but its not the actuator, I checked the three actuators that I know of, and replaced one the other two are fine. And sometimes the fan itself with not turn on and /or stay on.Did a core flush also just to make sure. Just wondering if anyone has been thru this and could offer a DIY suggestion on a tight budget. this is getting pretty frustrating, Thank you
PS i did a diagnostic scan but nothing showed up anyway

do you have dual climate control? If you have clicking going on, then that has to be an actuator.

Default Yes it is.

It is dual. I just checked the actuator by the glove box it was OK. Would the little motor inside be broken?

it could be the flap itself being stuck. My understanding of the system is that the dealer calibrates the position of the flap to the actuator so they are synced up.

If you are hearing clicking, then its no good because the plastic gears are slipping against each other. If you hear thumping, then the flap is reaching a limit and the actuator keeps trying to command it to keep going.

When I first got my 09 CC. there was a recall for a flash to calibrate the system and prevent the actuators from stripping the gears by over-driving the flaps (blend doors and direction of the air flow). Well, sometime later, one of the actuators still failed. Part of the repair was to replace the actuator and then run a calibration procedure.

Default Flap

Flap as in like the blend door flap?

The k12 recall for the truck was done in 2011, by the previous owner.

It is a clicking noise on the passenger side but it sounds as if it is more to the right of the actuator.

And why would the fan itself kick off randomly? Something different?
