Default Lift kit advice!!

Looking to lift my 2011 ram 1500. I'd like to be able to put 40s on but need to know how big of a lift I need and what brand to go with.

You will more than likely need at least an 8"lift to run 40's.

You planning on other work to support this?

I ran a 12" lift and 40's on my 3rd gen, but ended up changing to an 8" lift and 38's.

Not sure what I want done just looking for some options I could consider I was looking at some 38x15.50x20s today and was trying to figure out how big of a lift it would take to fit them. I was thinking about a 6" rough country but I don't think that would be big enough and I was told I wouldn't be able to keep my 2.5" leveling kit in to make a combined lift of 8.5" total. So idk just need ideas and suggestions to how to get what I want to work.

I'm running a Rough Country 6" with 37's. Had to shave about 1/4" off front quarters to ensure full articulation.

Do what you want, but do it right.

If you go with a huge lift and 40's think about gears, tranny, and brakes.

Rough Country and BDS make really good products.

Have fun man.

How is the ride quality of the rough country lift? I had a RC 6.5 inch lift on my cherokee and it rode really stiff, not sure I want to chance that same brand with my Ram now

My truck rides great with rough country lift, but it is a 1500.

My 06 rode extremely stiff with the 8" BDS.
