My dad was driving my car recently when he picked it up from getting worked on and he said it fell out of gear a whole bunch of times. He said it got so bad that he just felt like leaving it in fourth gear the rest of the way to the house. My mechanic told me that I'm going to need another transmission. My car use to fall out of reverse sometimes and rarely fell out in gears 1-5. The car would need to get the trans rebuilt or obviously another one. He said the teeth are messed up on the gears. I'm probably going to get a used trans.
I would like to see if I can get an RT's transmission.

 

that sux but if you have a choice of getting a new one or a rebuilt one get the rebuild one because theyre stronger
