Opera vs Mozilla ??

which is better Opera or Mozilla for web browser? Opera seems faster to me? is it as safe a Mozilla?

I would say firefox just for the fact it's free. Unless they've changed it the free version of opera has ads. Also tons of great extensions and lots of customizability for firefox.

Opera is probably a bit safer
only because so few use it
that bad guys don't bother to write malware code
that exploits Opera code.

Safari for Windows is a similar situation.

If you choose Mozilla or Mozilla Firefox or K-meleon browsers
(all use Gecko engine)
it is safer still to use the NoScript extension.
K-meleon is probably both fastest and safest.

http://kmeleon.sourceforge.net/

Internet Explorer is least safe because the bad guys target it.

I just downloaded K-meleon to give it a try. It was slower that IE and much slower than FF. It might be for some but I'll be sticking with FF.

my vote is for IE. if you know how to use a computer decently then the vulnerability of IE should not be an issue

I agree with Nick, IE7 with tabs is the ****. If you've gotany type of protection on the pc your set, there's no reason to use slow FireFox/mozilla out of safety paranoia.

IE in all forms is too slow. Opera is faster than FF but some sites dont like opera, your better off running FF, best of both worlds. Its only draw back i have found is that sometimes i can hog ram. other than that. i would go with ff.

I've never had a problem with IE7 but I greatly prefer FireFox...cant wait for V3 to come out.

IMO Mozilla is the best, because there is many other add ons u can add to your browser. The Beta for firefox 3 is preety good, Some nice features
