DF Chat room?
 

Has there ever been a DodgeForum chat room?

I'm on a site for Toyota Celicas, and they have a dedicated section on the nav. bar, that takes you to a different site, it loads up a chat room, and away you go...

I was wondering if this was possible, or not....

We used to have one, but it never got used, so they took it down.

we had one for a long time...but it was fairly useless.

it was very seldom used, and when it was, it was often a harbor for trolls.

we have had it recently at one other site, and that was only to cut down on the amount of useless trash posted in OT, but here, we dont have much useless trash posted in OT, so here, it would only be taking away from forum activity.

At the Integra site I used to frequent they had one but it wasn't used all that often and they had no off topic section. Honestly as much fun as I think it would be I think Pat is right about it taking away from OT.

on customdakotas we have just a thread dedicated to nothing, guys can chat about whatever,
the only downside is that it dosen't auto-update like a chat room, you have to hit "refresh" to see new posts.
it works great, and when nobodys on it's just another idle thread
