2013 R/T 7 passenger with the 3.6 VVT/6spd auto. Bought 12/28/12.
Per EVIC the "lifetime" (hasn't been reset) since purchase is 23.8 mpg, with hand calculations being pretty close; last tankful 22.9, one before 23.8 mpg.
We are rural, in the foothills of the Alleghenies...speedlimits are 55 mph, but, due to the winding nature of the roads and the steep ups and downs, the actual average speed is between 40 and 45 mph. Very little "town" driving, and our town is small (only one traffic light) and if you blink twice you are through it. Compared to the '08 Hemi Commander that I traded in on it, I'll take it!

2011 3.6 sxt fwd 17" with 30000 km. In warm weather mixed driving i was getting around 12 l/100k. Now in cold winter with warm up time, etc i am getting aroind 17 l/100, understandable difference. Interesting to note however that when my wife drives the vehicle it usually uses around 2l/100 more. I use synthetic oil if anyone cares. Has anyone experimented with high octane?

2001 Journey R/T fuel economy
My dealer, who has the best price locally on oil changes, uses a synthetic blend as standard service. Don't notice any difference- maybe at 100k miles? Best I've gotten on trips is 30.3 mpg. Have noticed once out of Ohio who has poor gasoline standards compared to other states- mileage seems to improve. Noticed this on trips even with my Ram Hemi and old Grand Caravan. Have tried higher octane one tank in the Journey but no noticeable difference. Too many variables. If we run the truck loaded with camper or horse trailer it does seem to help. Otherwise the computers take care of everything.
Still can't stand the Journey's unwillingness to downshift better out of 6th to 5th on hills. Wish I could find some reprogramming info. Updates such as featured on dodgejourney.com don't seem to help. Otherwise, no shifting problems and love the vehicle overall- quiet smooth comfortable. Plus sized the tires as recommended by a Chrysler bulletin to top of the line Cooper's to get rid of the Kumho's (19") which was a big improvement.

2013 SXT with 20000km on odo. . Rented car. Just back from a 2 day 600 km trip (from sea level to 3000ft altitude) in VERY cold temperatures with 4 aboard....-34C these last 2 mornings and not above -30°C all day long. (20 to 30 below 0°F) Got 11.3 litres/100 km, translates as 20.8 miles/USGallon. Quite acceptable in those conditions from what I read here.
