Default Key fob 2010 journey

my key fob went thru the washing machine .know it only locks the doors will not unlock. panic button works and remote start works. i took it apart and wiped all the little cotacts with alcohol,still won't unlock and now the two halves will not snap back together .what did i do wrong .thanks for any help.

To quote my wife-"you didn't empty out your jean pockets again".
All kidding aside you probably have damged the snap-lock extrusions
on the keycase,if you can take the circuit board right out try snapping
just the case together.
If you can't you will have to use adhesive of your choice.
With the circuit board itself try using a hairdryer as there may well
still be water shorting the touch pad for unlock.

thanks i will try that but right now i have everything in a jar of rice .

My keyfob went out shortly after I bought the car used. These are very delicate. The banging and knocking around in the washer and/or dryer probably damaged the circuitry internally.

As an example, I have to squeeze the FOB below the buttons on the circuit board to make internal contact before it will work.

You probably need to get a new one.
