Official Chrysler notification 6/25/14

Hello everyone, this is my first post. I own a 2011 Journey RT and just received a notice from Chrysler regarding cylinder head problems. I am only a backyard mechanic so I need advice. I like to help as well but my automobile knowledge is not up to snuff. We love our Journey and have no issues what so ever, Until today when I received a notice from Chrysler stating they are increasing the left cylinder head warranty an extra five years. That's great i guess, except now I am going to be listening for the problem to pop up. I am hear for the best advice about what to do next? Our Journey has 39,000 KM and the only problem so far was rear break caliper seizing which the dealer took care of. Any advice much appreciated.

If you don't have a problem don't worry about it,
my '11 SXT is at 37000 km and I have no sign of any
problems associated with this notification.
I am going to put it the glovebox for future reference however.

They had an issue with valve guides/seats on some of the heads early on in the Pentastar life. If you all of the sudden feel a misfire one day and the CEL come on, don't be surprised.

bigtsr,

Indeed, it is a good idea to keep the extended warranty information with your vehicle.

If the condition is not being experienced, repair would not be necessary. As with all warranty work, if an issue presents itself, simply contact your dealer for diagnosis to determine the course of action.

This is good advise. Put the information in the glove box. Just in case. TNtech and myself work for Dodge dealers.
