Default Headlights

I have a Dodge Journey Mainstreet 2011.
My last car turned on the headlight when I started the car and turned them off when I turned the engine off.
Is there a way to make my Journey do this?
If not is there an aftermarket kit that would do this?
I looked at a new Journey yesterday and was told that this option is only available in Canada.

If you are referring to daytime running lights (DRLs)
They can be turned on by a dealer using StarScan.
They must enter the proper "sales code" that turns them on,
this is possible on the MY '11-12-13.
Do a search of the forum using "DRL"

Plpease add some specifics about what you are referring to. DRL's (daytime running lights) as mentioned, or automatic headlights? (that should only come on at night by themselves).

Those are DRL's then. On my 2013, it was a simple as accessing the DRL option through the touchscreen and turning them on. I've read others had to have the dealer turn that feature on.

Called Dodge help center and was told that my model's computer does not have that option. That is why I was checking to see if there was another way to do it such as an add-on kit.

Probably not without a lot of work. The DRL's run at like half voltage through the regular headlights. It might be a pain, but just turn the lights on and off whenever you start/stop the vehicle. Cheaper and easier, imo.
