Default Short battery life with key fob?

Seem to only get 4 to 6 weeks before the 2011 Journey RT starts throwing a low fob battery message on the dash. Seems like they should last longer than that.

How often do other folks have to replace them?

On our 2013, have replaced them both once so far. Make sure the batteries are making good contact.

I have only replaced once in 4 1/2 yrs.
Take fob apart clean it thoroughly with rubbing alcohol
and burnish the battery contacts , buy an expensive 2032
battery not dollar store grade (Duracell).

The replacements I used were Energizer 2032. I'll try Duracell and clean the contacts up again.....

Thanks

Lasting only 4-6 weeks definitely seems off. Keep us posted down the line if this continues to occur.

I have had the same problems... in fact We replaced the batteries in both fob's to make sure we wouldn't get the message from the other set of keys. We actually got the message the very next day, and that was with high cost battery! We have now switched to the cheap ones and guess what no difference.. the longest we go is about 4-6 weeks, but many times it is less.
I am not a fan of Dodge Journey's any more... with constant brake issues on our 2011, our hatch that will not unlock/open, the FOB issue and more... Not a fan of the higher priced 19 inch tires either!
