If the Invoice on an RT is 28,000 and people say they are getting them for like 500 under is that actually meaning they are paying 27,500 for the car...PLUS tax? Seems like a huge drop for a new car that is stickerd at 34,000 ? ! [&:] Please any help.

I would take anyones claim that they paid under invoice with a very large block of salt, and I hope that it doesn't fall on your head. There is absolutely no reason on this planet that a dealer would have to sell an RT for anything less than MRSP. Remember that dealers are in business to make the maximum profit. In the case of the RT, maximum profit is the mantra. When you can't find ANY RT's on the dealers lots, they don't have to sell them cheap. In fact, you can charge a premium. This is a very old formula, and the Magnum falls under this supply/demand model.

I claim to be paying less than invoice, I have no reason to lie. Now if Blanchman wants proof, I think we have the beginnings of a wager, proceeds to charity of course.

I got my Magnum at 1% under the invoice price. I got a fully optioned RT.

Car dealers have more than one "INVOICE", they have more ways to get around something then you can beleive.

I have a relative in the car business and he won't reveal all the secrets to me, never trust a salesman.

I just wish my relative sold Dodge's, oh well. I have gotten some good deals from him in the past, so I can't complain.

To settle any dispute here, state what the car listed for and tell us what you really paid for it.

Don't forget that even the financing, insurance, extended warranties, can all affect what you "really paid".

Buying any car is a losing deal, they lose value as soon as you leave the dealership.

But we all love cars and keep buying them.

Not sure why my wife puts up with me, but I love her.

You can check invoice on www.kbb.com. So you dont get hosed. I too can buy a RT for 1% under invoice. Its part of my Union Pacific Railroad discount. I get 1% under invoice on all kinds of cars. Just not the special ones like the SRT-10 or SRT-4

Oh yea, I'm not talking about those "special" deals, like members of the DC group, or other things.

I'm talking about walking into a dealership, no connections with anything, and trying to buy a car.
