Default engine vibration

Hey fella's, i just bought a 06 magnum se with 85k miles on it and between 30-45 mph i get a weird vibration from the engine. Its not a constant vibration but it comes and goes during accelaration. Do anyone have an idea on what could be the cause of that?

Does it shake the steering wheel or the whole car?
Few things to check is Tire Balance and Trans mount, motor mount.

Nah the steering wheel doesnt shake so its not the balance on the front wheels. yea it shakes the car..like the dash and front seats a lil..I'll check the mounts and if its them then im thinking maybe it could be misfiring..

This might be a long shot, but you might look into it.

I had a vibration, the same as yours in my magnum (Hemi). It turns out that the timing chain tensioner was broken causing a "loose" timing chain. This caused my engine/whole car to vibrate on acceleration. Like yours, it came and went.

I don't know if your V6 has a belt or chain. Either way it may be stretched or loose. It's pretty simple to have the timing cover pulled for a look-see.

Good luck.
