I would really love any advice on how to make my 2.7 liter '05 Magnum faster and more powerful. Open to all suggestions!

 

take it in to dealer and get them to put in a 5.7

 

about the only way you could make the needed power to win would be to add NOS.

 

Not even a chip or anything? How much do you think a new engine would cost?

 

I am guessing but I would think 6gs would be a good estimate.

 

Guess its time to start saving. In the mean time I will get some rims and a scoop so it just looks faster.

 

the hemi alone cost $7100. plus you'll need a trans, all electronic, exhaust, and a thousand other parts plus labor. it will end up costing you $60 grand to make a $30,000 car. not worth it....
NOS will cost about $650.

 

Enjoy your ride..give it a unique look and when you can spare the $$$ step up to the R/T.

 

I agree, that engine is so anemic, I cant believe they even put it in that big of a car. Its lucky to get a Neon onto a busy freeway...LOL. You can find RT Hemis on EBay all the time. Most come with PCM, engine and tranny all together. Seen some less than $5,000 for all. You should be pretty fast then, 6 cyl has a lot bigger rear end gear than RTs.
