Default New R/T owner, and loving it!

Good Day All,

Just picked up the RT two days ago and I absolutely love it! Ours is Midnight Blue with the light interior and has nearly all of the toys except Navigation. Got up on the highway this morning all by my lonesome with no other traffic to keep my sane. I looked down and I was doing just of 100! Didn't even feel, gotta love the MB suspension.

So here's a couple of Q's of those who know. I'd like to be able to use the factory rack and the Mopar J-bars to haul my kayak around. Only problem is, I can't find a point in the front to tie the bow line to. I might not even use one as in the past the line had gotten slack and the only ill effect was that the boat started to rotate slightly. But that was with only cross bars and nothing like a J-bar or hulley rollers to help in that area. Any thoughts?

Welcome Jax. I'm sure you will find this forum very informative. I don't have an answer to your roof rack question, but I suspect that someone here does. Enjoy your new Magnum.

Thanks All.

GT RT, I'll try to get a picture posted for you, but if I'm not driving it the wife is!

I've firgure out the kayak situation as well. I'm using the factory installed roof rack and cross bars with Thule hull pads bracket . For the front point, I am anchoring to a hole in the hood catch and routing the strap between the grill fasica and hood. For the stern lines, I anchored to the muffler hanger points under the car. The rear will need some pads to protect the paint. So far I have seen no ill effects, even during a brief stint at 100 mph. Hehehe.
