I'm trying to find out how you all negotiated the best deal for your Magnums.

The wife just gave me the go-ahead to buy one (she wanted me to buy a Camry so she could have it in a year when she was planning to get a new car.)

My neighbor is in charge of the Finance dept. at a Dodge dealer and got me a pretty good deal. I got almost $1300 off of sticker while all the other dealers around here said they wouldn't take less than sticker. I financed through Chrysler financial (for 3 months) to get the $1000 rebate.

The best part was that I didn't have to deal with a salesman or sit in the box negotiating a price.

I fought for 3 days... I wanted to order my car, dealer wanted to sell me one on the lot (they had two RT's). Finally ended up meeting at $1600 below MSRP, but it took me walking out a couple times to do it. I told the guy, I don't play games... if I offer a price and they don't like it, then so be it. I'm not into the back-and-forth haggling crap. (Ended up doing enough of it anyway).

My salesman was actually pretty cool. On day 2, he and the sales manager were trying to do the good cop - bad cop bit on me, but it ended up as good cop - @ssh0le instead. He later called me at home and apologized. The next day we made a deal.

And yeah, we got a decent rate through Chrysler, so I took the $1000 rebate there too. And got blue book for my trade. Make sure you get your invoices printed out, your blue book values printed out ahead of time, and walk in with a folder (with all your docs) and a calculator.

$1000 under MSRP after much walking out, going to other dealers, etc. Made the deal with the fourth dealer I had visited that day.

That looks like a great deal. I wonder what conditions they may have? I didn't realize internet dealing was still going on.

MSRP = dealer cost + dealer profit

Should be trying to find the invoice price...not MSRP.

33,900 is nuts.

I have built a spreadsheet with MSRP and invoice costs, using MSRP's and Invoice values found on the web.

I "built" one with a MSRP of 37575 and an invoice of 34661 which includes the 625 delivery but no credit for the 941 dealer holdback and the 600 dealer advertising which brings it down to dealer cost of 33120.

I don't think I could get it for 33120 but I am gonna ask if I can get it for 32500...5k off list...and see what flies
