I need some help. I have a 1999 Dodge Neon DOHC and I have been hearing this loud popping noise which appears to be coming from the rear end of my car. It usually happens when I hit a bump or go over a speed bump too hard. Could someone please tell me what is causing this to happen?? It has happened several times now but only when the car goes over a bump. I recently had a load of limerock put in my driveway area and thought maybe some of the pebbles were getting lodged in the tires and hitting the main frame but I am becoming more and more alarmed at this sound as it keeps happening. All new shocks have been put on my Neon a little less than a year ago. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
