I was woundering if someone could come up with a list of parts I would need to swap my 3spd auto to a 5spd manual trans. I know the tranny, computer, cables, clutch stuff like that but what else? And will parts from a 1st gen neon 5spd work on my 2000?

 

Parts from the 1st gen will work, since it's the same 5-speed for both generations (just different bellhousings). Don't forget the pedals and the pedal bracket. If you go with a 2nd gen tranny, it will have a hydraulic clutch setup, which is even more time and effort (and money). The 2000 model year had a cable clutch for part of the year, then went to the hydraulic clutch. You can swap either in, but I don't know wht all else you'd need for a hydraulic clutch setup...
