I have an 08 Nitro, and I really love my car, however...

When I turn on my right turn signal, the dome light comes on. As soon as the signal shuts off, the dome light shuts off too.

Anyone else have this issue? If so, how do I fix it?

I have found a TSB on what is called a courtesy light illumination issue. Perhaps it applies to your vehicle. It seems to be related to the lift-gate and not sure you are having a lift-gate chime problem as well.It is the only thing I could find on your issue so I am posting it just in case the two are related. If you are taking it to a dealer to resolve the issue you may just want to mention the TSB to them. The TSB is listed below.

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Customers may observe illumination of the courtesy lamps, a chime tone and the liftgate
ajar indicator message illumination when the liftgate is not open. This is caused by
intermittent contact of the liftgate open sensing wire closing the circuit to ground. Swapping
the wires will make the intermittent contact with the body on the ground side wire,
eliminating the false illumination and indicator messages.
DIAGNOSIS:
If the above condition is present, perform the Repair Procedure.

 

Check the fuse.

This happened to me once with a new Chevy. I took it to the dealer and the mechanic did not say a word. He stuck his head under the dash pulled out a fuse replaced it with a new one and it never happened again. I drove that truck for over 20 years.

Sounds like a bad multi-fuction switch in the column. Curious to see what you sone does to fix the problem.
