I'm pretty sure our 2007 Nitro is having starter issues...battery is good, alternator good, connections to batter secure and clean, but when turning the key to start it, there is a clicking sound, but the engine doesn't turn over. I think I've located the starter under the vehicle just off center and behind the driver's side front tire. How the heck do I get to it to clean the connections and/or possibly remove it for replacement? I have searched hard on the internet, but haven't been able to find anything.

 

If you PM me the same question with an email address I can send you the instructions with pics. Does it have the 3.7L? Just so you are aware, removal of the starter on 4X4 models require the removal of the front propeller shaft.

 

my 2007 nitro will not start. battery and aternator test good. possibly the starter? what do you think?
