idle rpm's

At idle what rpm does 6.7 run? What is the temp of engine when driving unloaded/loaded?

Not sure, but check back later. There are getting to be more than a handful of people with the 6.7 here and sure they will share some insight. Do they have the high idle feature?

My 6.7L idles at 700 rpm. It drops to around 550 in reverse. This seems a little low to me, but the engine is running well so I'm not going to screw with it.

Temp is usually just below the middle number on the guage (240?). It has never gone above that number even in 100+ degree weather. I have not tried it with a trailer.

RE: idle rpm's

the 6.7's should run the same idle speeds and temps as the 5.9's 650-750rpm and 180-200F ventureing to about 220 depending on load.
