What's the steepest Hw % Grade you've found?

Where is the steepest hill
you have encountered with your Ram
on the US Highway system ?

In a similar way,
where is a grade that is fairly steep but most remarkable for how long the hill goes on...a 'long hard pull' so to speak.

If you are familiar with either Google Earth,
or Microsofts Live.maps
feel free to post a link to the spot where the grade is.

Do you remember whether there was a sign informing of the % grade?

try the transitional climb from Palm Springs CA at sea level up to the high desert. 2000ft+ elevation change and the big rigs struggle.

MT. Shasta northen CA

theres a few good climbs north and east of Phoenix, AZ on I-17, AZ HWY 87, US HWY 60.

For me, it would be climbing up I-70 going to Eisenhower Tunnel. Its a good 40 miles from Denver and goes from 5,000 feet in altitude to about 11,112 ft. The approach grades are about 7%, which doesn't seem like much, but the climb seems to go on forever. Great scenery too.

Here in Philly we have a very popular hill called "The Wall". It's used for some huge bike race every year. It's in Manayunk

The Manayunk Wall

The most famous part of the First Union Pro Championship in Philadelphia is the infamous Manayunk Wall. Pictures just don't do justice to this climb. The pros had to climb this bad-boy 9 times, and they were flying.

I took that little drive with the goat and a 35 foot trailer it was amazing. It slowed me down to 60 mph as long as I could keep going 55 mph if I got stuck behind a semi.
